Helga Fernández Llamosas is currently a predoctoral student whose thesis is focused on environmental biotechnology through studying the adaptation and the metabolism of the bacteria Azoarcus sp. CIB to different environmental contaminants and its interaction with plants.
Helga received her BSc. in Biotechnology at Universidad de León (Spain), doing the Bachelor Thesis in molecular biology of plant-microbe interactions during a stay at Georg-August University Göttingen (Germany). Last year she joined the Environmental Microbiology Lab to obtain the MSc. in Microbiology and Parasitology (speciality in Microbiological Systems Exploitation) at Universidad Complutense of Madrid.
